Technology Very few areas of law have changed and grown as dramatically over the last decade as technology-related law. Our office has continued to expand its practice in technology-related fields in order to assist businesses in addressing these issues. The attorneys practicing in this field are an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in transactional work, business contracts, product liability, insurance issues, legislative representation and litigation. This practice group is experienced in representing clients in a broad range of work, including establishing new businesses, acquisitions, preparing vendor contracts, drafting and reviewing service or supply agreements, and litigating technology-related disputes. An important aspect of this practice area has been the Year 2000 computer issue (sometimes referred to as the "Y2K problem" or the "Millennium Bug"). The attorneys in the Technology and Y2K Practice Group have written on this subject and have conducted seminars, lectures, and in-house training sessions to bring the Y2K issue to the attention of Firm clients and to assist clients with developing strategies to minimize the impact of Y2K on their business.
