JASON FERGUSON

Jason received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from North Carolina State University in 1996. Jason was awarded membership into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society for economics. Jason received his Juris Doctor degree from Western New England College, School of Law in 1999 and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Afonso & Baker, Jason assited with the creation of the new Jersey Office of the Public Defender's Parental Representation Unit which later became the Office of Parental Representation (OPR). Jason was part of the OPR for over Eight years where he represented Parents in abuse and neglect matters and termination of parental rights cases. Jason also was responsible for training all new designated counsel seeking work from the OPR. Additionally, Jason sat on various state wide committees as the representative for the OPR. Jason continues to assist the Office of the Public Defender as a trainer for new designated counsel. Jason previously worked as in-house counsel for a major trucking and intermodal transportation company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jason currently represents clients in family, criminal, juvenile and municipal court matters.
